Rohan Sippy’s upcoming Bollywood film “Dum Maaro Dum” is facing hard time because of a petition filed before Goa Bench of Mumbai High Court to ban the film. Dum Maaro Dum is a film which tells about a drug gang in Goa and this is the problem the petitioner has with the film.
A media professional, Savio Rodrigues filed the petition in Mumbai court to ban the release of the film because he believes that this film will have negative effect on India’s most happening tourist spot.
Film is due to release on 22nd April and the bench will hear the petition on Thursday, post which it will give its verdict. Rodrigues said in his petition that, “Goa has been portrayed in media and in the said movie in particular so as to depict it as destination of drugs and Sex, both of which are claimed to be easily and freely available in this state.”
Only after the verdict we can tell the future of the film. We must also add that last year Abhishek Bachchan gave various flops back to back, and this year too his much awaited “Game” didn’t do well, now Dum Maaro Dum can be a life and death situation for him.
