Already people are touting it as the first blockbuster of 2012 with an opening ranging from 90% to packed houses in its first day. Long queues were seen outside multiplexes and single screen theatres with crowd jostling to get their hands on the tickets. Black marketers had a field day after a long period of lull as people were ecstatic to watch the movie as soon as possible.
If you consider the trade aspect, with Agneepath garnering a 90-100% opening, it is assumed that it has become the first film to pocket biggest first day collections ever for a Hindi film. Till now Bodyguard had the honour having grossed Rs. 21 Crores in the first day itself. Reports suggest that Agneepath already achieved that mark and may have surpassed it as well. Undoubtedly, people at Dharma Productions are rejoicing frantically!
