Whatever may be the story, Ra. One did manage to carve a niche for itself in the special effects arena which was recently lauded with the National Award for Best Visual Effects. But for the person behind it all Charu Khandal, the celebration was short-lived as she is right now in a critical state in a hospital after a Honda city car rammed an auto-rickshaw carrying Khandal, her sister Ritu and friend Vikram Goyal.

The incident occurred in the wee hours of Sunday morning in suburban Mumbai. Charu and her friends were returning from a night long party thrown by her. The auto they were in turned turtle when the Honda city hit it. Charu is said to have suffered fractures in her leg and spine coupled with severe head injuries. Ritu and Vikram are also said to be in critical condition.
But as a blow to the injured people, Police arrested the accused who was driving the car for rash and negligent driving only. He was able to procure a bail within a few hours of arrest and was left to move freely. We hope Charu, Ritu and Vikram get well soon and make a move to book Gautam in an intense case so that people like him don’t go scot free after shortening someone’s life.
