A wronged man out for revenge on people who made him suffer is a plot used, abused and misused often. For some strange reason, filmmakers think that every common man who has been falsely implicated and consequently destroyed will find resonance with the theme. So this Friday we have yet another such movie titled Tezz directed by Priyadarshan and starring Ajay Devgn, Anil Kapoor, Kangana Ranaut, Boman Irani and Mohanlal.

From the promos on air, a little has been left to imagination as to what Tezz entails. Akash Rana (Ajay Devgan) is a man who lost everything and now wants those responsible to pay the price for it. He has fitted a bomb in a speeding train from Glasgow to London which is the sole commuting source for the people. Now it is all up to Counter Terrorism Officer Arjun Khanna (Anil Kapoor) to save the many lives in that train. Will he manage the feat or will innocent people pay the price of apathy shown towards a single man? For that, you will have to watch the movie.
Priyadarshan has high hopes with the movie and so has Ajay Devgn. But their last outing Aakrosh, though poignant, couldn’t win audience’s hearts. So it will be interesting to see if this movie can do the trick for him. Producer Ratan Jain however seemed more excited about the Laila item song than the movie per se much to the chagrin of Priyadarshan. But the film couldn’t gain much in terms of publicity as the hype surrounding it is pretty minimal. Made on a decent budget of Rs. 40 Crores, Tezz has a lot riding on it as it will prove whether or not the jodi of Ajay – Priyadarshan is worth risking the money.
Now with Ajay Devgn and Anil Kapoor in the lead one can expect some hard-hitting and stirring one liners and hard core action. Whether or not they manage to sail the movie through on their own will be something to watch out for on April 27, 2012. If suave action is on your mind this weekend, you might want to check it out.
