You might have shared a laugh or two at the funny jokes that started trending everywhere the moment Rekha got nominated for a Rajya Sabha seat. But here comes the gossip! You all are aware that Jaya Bachchan too is a member of Rajya Sabha. So, naturally, the moment Rekha’s name got finalised, things got a little ugly for Mrs. Bachchan. Hence, according to a daily, she sent a request to Rajeev Shukla, Minister for Parliamentary Affairs, asking him to shuffle her seat in the house which apparently suggests she wants to sit as far away from Rekha as possible.

Now we don’t have to tell you why there is so much friction between two of yesteryear’s most acclaimed actresses. The rumours about Jaya’s superstar husband Amitabh Bachchan’s affair with Rekha were enough to rock the marriage apparently. Since then these two ladies ensure that they never bump into each other for any reason. So, it was very obvious for Mrs. Bachchan to call for a seat change. Buzz is that this led to a chaotic situation in Shukla’s office who was finding it difficult to allot seats as wished by members. However, the minister managed the feat and reportedly allotted seat number 143 to Jaya Bachchan from 91 and is toying with 97 or 98 for Rekha.
Well, we don’t understand the fuss here. Our elected Bollywood folks to Rajya Sabha are anyway renowned for their absenteeism when the house goes in session. How does it matter who sits where? Beats us!
