Katrina Kaif is the flavour of the season. She has big banners and everyone from Khans, Kumars and every other famous surname in the industry lining up to work with her. She is gorgeous, sexy, breathtakingly stunning and extremely dedicated. But this year seems to be her treasure trove, recently she was seen in Ek Tha Tiger (which made 200+ Crores at the Box Office), after that she will be seen the ready to release mush fest with Shahrukh Khan directed by Yash Chopra Jab Tak Hai Jaan and a slick, pacy thriller Dhoom 3 with Aamir Khan. Hence, I thought why not try to figure with which Khan does this gorgeous beauty looks perfect. Before I begin, I would like to say that since I am yet to see the chemistry between Katrina and Aamir Khan, I have decided to not make them part of this feature. The fight here is between Salman and Shahrukh, like always. So here we go.
It will be wrong to not start this with Salman Khan and Katrina’s chemistry. They are rumoured to have a thing going behind the scenes too for some years. Many argue that Katrina Kaif’s rise to power is attributed, to some extent, to Salman. They bonded well off screen but the fizz between the two couldn’t be replicated in movies as such. While in Maine Pyar Kyun Kya, Salman doesn’t get Katrina, in Yuvvraj, the focus was more on the brothers in the movie. But Ek Tha Tiger changed it all. They looked fabulous together. By then, there wasn’t any love angle between them in real life anymore and they were self proclaimed good friends. I must say this friendship of theirs looked amazing on screen in ETT. They looked really comfortable with each other which was missing in their previous movies. Hence, Ek Tha Tiger can be called as the movie that changed things between them on screen.
Now coming to Shahrukh Khan, although Jab Tak Hai Jaan is yet to hit the marquee, the promos and songs have managed to make a huge mark. Apart from Shahrukh Khan’s look, his chemistry with Katrina is also turning heads. Perhaps for the first time Shahrukh Khan is seen doing such intimate scenes with his ladylove in a movie, otherwise he is one actor who has these various ‘no kissing, no touching’ rules in his contracts. The recently released Saans track is highly sensuous for a Yash Chopra movie and it had its desired effect on people. It doesn’t feel as if they are working in a movie together for the first time. In totality, they are really ‘good’.
From what I noticed and felt, I will say Katrina looks much better with Salman Khan than Shahrukh but I would still like to keep an open mind here till Jab Tak Hai Jaan releases and decide post that. Meanwhile you can tell us who you think gels well with this fascinatingly beautiful maiden. I will be waiting.
